Dental Assistant 

Position Overview

As a Dental Assistant, you will be focused on patient care and building relationships. You will be representative of Maple Valley Dentistry Core Values to our Team Members and our Patients. Your focus will be creating the best environment for any family that walks through the front doors through hospitality, education, and excellence in dentistry.  Our DA’s will perform all dental assisting duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Washington Board of Dentistry.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Welcome patients in a comforting manner to prepare them for upcoming treatment(s)
  • Review dental treatment consent forms
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental treatment procedures 
  • Sterilize dental instruments and clean and prepare treatment areas for patients
  • Process x-rays
  • Prepare cements, liners, and take impressions of patient’s teeth for certain procedures
  • Stock and organize work area with treatment materials
  • Test and maintain equipment (sterilizer, y, x-ray processor, etc.)
  • Record patient notes in chart for any patient visit
  • Educate and inform patients about proper dental hygiene and dental sealants
  • Uphold OSHA Standards and Infection Control Protocol

Qualifications

  • No experience is required however, 1 year of experience is preferred
  • Passionate about working with families
  • Desire to be part of a team and build relationships
  • Fast learner and ability to retain the knowledge of new concepts
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrates knowledge of dental terminology
  • Ability to handle all patient information in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations
  • Working knowledge of Gmail, google docs and other messaging systems

Dental Receptionist

Position Overview

We are a private modern dental office in Maple Valley, and we are looking for a Full Time (4-5 days) Dental Receptionist, with interest in a long-term position. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player, caring with a positive attitude, has excellent communication skills, and loves working with patients. Prior dental front office experience is preferred but not necessary, if you have excellent customer service skills and also are good with answering telephones, we want you apply. New Dental Assisting graduates are welcome to apply. If you are willing to learn we will be happy to train.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

  • Greet patients with a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Answering the phones with a smile and happy demeanor.
  • Schedule appointments
  • Confirming appointments.
  • Verifying insurance.
  • We will train the right candidate.
